Preliminary Information

DUBLIN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to ensure that every student becomes a lifelong learner by providing them a rigorous and relevant 21st century education that builds resilience and prepares them for college and career or service to our country and for success in the global economy.
 


School Board Meeting Procedures
Community members are encouraged to attend school board meetings. Each agenda contains a "Comments from Audience" section, to allow public comment on items NOT listed on the agenda. However, by law, trustees may not enter into discussion nor take action on any item not previously published on the agenda. Pursuant to Board Policy 9320, speakers must complete a "Record of Participation" form and submit the form to the Superintendent prior to the start of the meeting. When recognized by the Board President, speakers shall come to the podium and state their name and address before addressing the Board. Speakers are asked to limit their comments to three (3) minutes. At 2 min. 45 seconds you will be asked to summarize or make final comments. Speakers are also asked to refrain from using names of individuals if their comments are critical in nature. (Board policies 9322 (a) and 9323)

Special Meeting / Work Study Session Procedures
At a special meeting or work study session, the public does not have the right to speak on any subject within the subject matter jurisdiction of the board, but subject to reasonable regulations, must be allowed to speak on any item that has been described in the notice for the meeting. 1. Fallon Interim Housing 2016 - Design Authorization         (V)  
  Staff is seeking authorization to proceed with interim housing design at Fallon Middle School to meet the projected growth need for the 2016-17 school year.

Staff recommends the Board of Trustees' authorization to plan and develop 2016 interim housing design on Fallon Middle School campus.

1. Draft Facilities Master Plan Workshop: INFORMATION         (D)  
  Staff will update the Board of Trustees on the Facilities Master Plan process to date and focus on draft Master Plan Review.
         
2. Review of Draft Resolution Ordering an Election to authorize the Issuance of School Bonds. Establishing specifications of the election order, and requesting consolidation with other elections occurring on June 7, 2016 - INFORMATION         (D)  
  The Board of Trustees will discuss the Bond Resolution Establishing the Election Order of 2016 for a new General Obligation Bond.
